Srinagar, Sep 25 (KNO): Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Mohammad Umar Farooq on Friday urged people to remain steadfast in difficult times, place their trust in Almighty Allah and maintain goodwill, compassion and forgiveness towards one another.
In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a spokesperson said that while addressing the Friday congregation at the historic Jama Masjid Srinagar, Mirwaiz urged people to strengthen their trust in Almighty Allah, remain steadfast in difficult times and cleanse their hearts of ill will, bitterness and resentment towards one another.
The spokesperson said that, referring to the Qur’anic words حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ, “Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs,” Mirwaiz said a believer must never lose hope in the mercy, help and wisdom of Allah, however difficult the circumstances may appear.
He said hardships and trials are part of life, but faith teaches a person not to surrender to despair. “We must make our efforts, adopt all lawful means and then place our trust in Almighty Allah, for He alone is Musabbib-ul-Asbaab, the One who creates the means, controls them and brings about their results,” he said.
The spokesperson said Mirwaiz stressed that sincere reliance upon Allah gives strength to the heart and hope in times of uncertainty. “When difficulties surround us and solutions seem distant, we should remember that no situation is beyond the power of Allah. He can open doors where we see none, create means where none seem to exist, and ease hardships in ways beyond our understanding.”
He also appealed to people to remove hatred, jealousy and ill will from their hearts and to deal with one another with compassion, forgiveness and goodwill.
“Let us not harbour grudges against one another. Let us forgive, reconcile, support each other in times of difficulty and sincerely wish well for one another. A heart that truly places its trust in Allah should also be free from malice towards His creation,” Mirwaiz said.—(KNO)
